MS Excel - Insert Data
How to Insert Data in Microsoft Excel
In the vast landscape of Microsoft Excel, inserting data is a fundamental skill. Here's a step-by-step guide to broaden your Excel horizons:
Navigate to the Desired Cell:
Click on the cell where you want to start inputting your data.
Type or Paste Data:
Begin typing your data directly into the cell or paste it from an external source. Excel accommodates various data types, including text, numbers, and dates.
AutoFill for Sequential Data:
For sequential data (numbers, dates, etc.), use the AutoFill handle (a small square at the bottom-right corner of the selected cell) to drag and fill adjacent cells automatically.
Inserting Entire Rows or Columns:
Right-click on the row or column header, choose "Insert," and Excel will add a new row above or column to the left of your selection.
Mastering the art of inserting data is pivotal for creating organized and dynamic Excel workbooks.
