Punjabi Typing - Setting Up Your Computer

To install Punjabi language support and enable Punjabi typing on different operating systems (Windows, macOS, and Linux), you can follow the steps outlined below for each platform:

Windows:

Windows 10 and Windows 11:

Go to "Settings" by pressing Win + I.

Select "Time & Language."

Click on "Language" from the left sidebar.

Click on "Add a language" and search for "Punjabi."

Select the Punjabi language and click "Next."

Once added, you can switch between languages by clicking on the language icon in the system tray and selecting Punjabi.

Windows 7 and 8:

Ubuntu:

Go to "Settings."

Click on "Region & Language."

In the "Input Sources" section, click the "+" icon.

Search for "Punjabi" or "Gurmukhi" and add the Punjabi keyboard layout.

You can switch between languages using the keyboard layout icon in the top menu bar.
